Frequently Asked Questions

Not quite sure how to handle a cleaning or restoration project? Odds are you’re not alone. We’ve provided peace-of-mind for many different homeowners over the years. Take a look below for some of the more common questions we’ve answered.

How long does carpet cleaning take?

A typical carpet cleaning job will take a minimum of three hours from start to finish.

After the cleaning is completed, you will need to wait approximately another two hours for the carpet to dry, depending on the location. We use a low-moisture cleaning system instead of fully saturating the carpets, which reduces the drying time.

How do you clean grout?

We tackle even the toughest of grout cleaning jobs by using a Hydraforce orbiting high-pressure water wand. If you want to manage the task yourself, an excellent home remedy is to use a toothbrush, lemons and a whole lot of elbow grease.

How do you get rid of the smell of pet urine?

It is important to immediately address the problem of cat or dog urine, as the smell can quickly stink up an entire house.

When dealing with a recent stain, start by trying to remove as much of it as possible with a damp rag. Mix together equal amounts of hot water and vinegar, then try to saturate the stain. Soak up the remaining residue, then sprinkle baking soda over the stain. Let this set in and dry, then vacuum it up later.

If the stain has set it, you will need to call in professional cleaners in order to remove it.

How do I get smoke smell out of my house?

The smell of smoke can get deep into nearly everything in your house. After an incident, you will need to do a thorough, deep clean of all items that may have been affected. There could be a lot of residue and dust that isn’t visible.

Hand wash all surfaces, appliances and personal items, such as picture frames and collectables. You can also hand wash screens and windows. Clothing that smell of smoke can be taken to the dry cleaners.

You will need to contact a professional carpet cleaning company in order to remove the smoke smell from carpets, upholstery, curtains, drapes and other fabric surfaces. The smoke smell lingers deep in these materials, making it difficult to remove them without professional help.
